Between the hours of 6 am and 6 pm, seven days a week, you are welcome to enter the gardens, free of charge! Wheelchair accessible, with plenty of walking paths, you’ll find the Gardens easy to access from all angles. Parking, including disabled parking, is available onsite. Often referred to as the best collection of herbs in the state, you’ll be busy identifying over 500 species of herbs used in cooking, medicine and industry. Tours can also be arranged.
If you’re looking for the ultimate cool and calming oasis, you’ll enjoy this water feature, which works like a natural pond system. Sprouting from a spring under the rocks, you may be lucky enough to spot a tree frog or two.
One of the most popular spots in the gardens, this cool and shady space takes up nearly a quarter of the area and is home to more than 250 rainforest species native to Moreton Bay and more than 1000 bats! This is one of the noisier spots of the Redcliffe Botanic Gardens!
A truly beautiful spot in spring and early summer, with a wildflower display coming to life alongside the banksia plants. Little girls might even like to go “fairy spotting”
Here you’ll find a true sensory experience. The native garden is taken care of by the Society for Growing Australian Plants. On any given weekend you could be lucky enough to see a wedding in the amphitheatre. If you’re planning a celebration yourself, the area is available for bookings.
