Getting to the campgrounds

Getting to the campsite is somewhat of an adventure, whether you’re coming from the northern D’Aguilar Highway end or via Mount Brisbane Road to the south. Both points of entry require gravel driving and are best suited to an off road vehicle.

Access to Neurum Creek

The campgrounds are only a short walk from Neurum Creek, which runs south of the campsites. Campers can enjoy a refreshing splash in the hotter months and rinse off any dust, as Neurum Creek has no shower facilities, it is a bush camp. It is recommended not to drink the water from the creek or the taps provided throughout the camp grounds. Bring sufficient quantities of drinking water with you, remember that the nearest location to collect water is Woodford or Dayboro.

Things you should know, before you head out

RV’s and camper trailers are prohibited at Neurum Creek Campgrounds, making it a swag, tent, roof top or slide on 4WD camper only. This does mean however, that the campgrounds are quiet compared to other bush camp experiences nearby, ideal for those that love the serenity of the bush. Each of the thirteen camp sites at Neurum Creek has a single allocated parking spot, fire pit and access to a water tap with rain water. Firewood is not provided and chopping wood in the National Park is prohibited, so bring your own supply. Firewood can be purchased in Woodford and Dayboro. Before you head out to camp, remember to check the Queensland National Parks website before heading out to check the current fire restrictions.
