Bribie Island Butterfly House

Bribie Island Butterfly House

Bribie Island Butterfly House, 206B First Ave, Bongaree QLD 4507

Bribie Island Butterfly House, just over an hour drive North of Brisbane, in Moreton Bay, where you can walk into a wonderland of flying butterflies. Around 700-1000 butterflies are housed in an outdoor sanctuary where they are safe to fly, feed, breed, lay their eggs, and continue their magical life cycle which you can explore up close and personal.

At the butterfly breeding lab viewing area, you can see our volunteers at work, looking after the eggs and chrysalises, and feeding our hungry caterpillars.

Wonder through the tunnel and watch a short video capturing the life cycle of a Monarch butterfly, then emerge into the magical, flower-filled butterfly sanctuary where you can see hundreds of butterflies flying on any day.

Tips: Wear bright colours and have your camera ready when a butterfly lands on you.
