The video and photo content submitted must be of high resolution and must be your own original work.
The article submitted must be your own original work and not published on any other website, including personal blog. Google doesn’t like it and we listen when they talk.
Stories are to be between 500 and 650 words in length please, however if complimented with a video (YouTube link or original file) a minimum of 400 words is OK.
Please understand that this is to be editorial, NOT AD-vertorial. References to specific businesses in the region must be limited, unless the business referenced is profiled on our Visit Moreton Bay Region website, which makes them one of our tourism partners. We love to support these local tourism operators, so write away!
We require 1 landscape photograph to be at least 2200px wide for the feature image (please do not watermark). In addition, you can also supply:
Please do not watermark images, we will link to you. We don’t accept photo montages, if you have a DIY style article, just send us the images individually, we’ll do the rest!
Only images where you have permission to use commercially may be sent to us. Images must therefore either be your own, purchased or free stock.
We ask that you like our Facebook page here and use our hashtag #visitmoretonbayregion on any Instagram images you wish to submit with your content (it would be lovely if you followed us too!). This makes it much easier for us to tag your accounts when the story is posted to our social media platforms.
A biography of 2-3 sentences and a high-resolution headshot of the author (unless you are submitting anonymously, if this is the case please make that clear in your submission).
It’s true, this is a non-pay gig. But we both benefit from you guest blogging.
All submissions must adhere to our Terms & Conditions. By submitting a written or creative piece to Visit Moreton Bay Region, in any format, including any text, images, graphics, or video, you agree you have read and understood the terms outlined, allowing Visit Moreton Bay Region to publish and distribute your content to its audience via its websites, social media platforms and other 3rd party online platforms without expiration.
Visit Moreton Bay Region reserves the right to update written content for accuracy and comprehensiveness. You agree to have all of the essential rights, including copyright and distribution, in the content and images you contribute. You confirm your content is not defamatory and it does not violate any law. You ensure you have received permission from all people featured in the content (video, photo, graphic or mentioned in the written piece). You indemnify Visit Moreton Bay Region, Moreton Bay Region Industry and Tourism and all owned brands against any and all legal fees, damages and other expenses which may be incurred by Visit Moreton Bay Region as a result of a breach of the above conditions.
You agree to allow Visit Moreton Bay Region to share your submitted content across social media, on visitmoretonbayregion.com.au and in its eNewsletters (credit will be given by Visit Moreton Bay Region to content producer).
