4WD Adventure Safari Things to do on Moreton Island

Kick back and relax as you are chauffeured to the ferry to begin the day with a wonderful sightsee across Moreton Bay Marine Park, home to diverse marine species. Look out for dugongs, dolphins, turtles and schools of fish as you travel across the calm waters.

When you disembark on Moreton Island you will jump into Sunrover’s 4WD to begin your adventure eco-tour to picturesque and well-known Moreton island attractions. First stop – the desert.

Prepare to get sandy! The mammoth sand dunes in the desert (and small dunes ideal for kids) provide heart pounding sand boarding and tobogganing fun for all ages.

After your desert thrills you can catch your breath at Tangalooma Resort Moreton Bay where you can stroll along the beach, swim in the clear waters, or explore the resort and the Tangalooma Dolphin Research Centre.

Lunch will be served up on Tangalooma Beach. After you’ve refuelled, you’ll enjoy a swim or guided snorkel in the clear waters of the Tangalooma Wrecks, amongst the fish. You’ll also be given time to kayak the shipwreck’s site before boarding the ferry for your return trip to the mainland.
