This heated centre is located in the middle of the Moreton Bay Region and caters for the entire Moreton Bay community. The Lawnton Aquatic Centre is situated on the corner of Gympie Road and Lawnton Pocket Road in Lawnton.
The Lawnton Aquatic Centre is a heated facility that caters for a range of swimmers living in the Moreton Bay Region. If you are someone that thoroughly enjoys a wet day out, this aquatic centre offers three heated pools for all kinds of swimmers. Avid swimmers will be pleased to know that they can enjoy swimming in a 50-metre outdoor pool, a 25-metre indoor heated pool as well as a children’s water play wading pool that is equipped with many fun and exciting features.
The 50-metre outdoor pool is designed to be used by all swimmers, including those who wish to cool off on a hot day. This eight-lane pool is set to 27.0 degrees.
Toddlers and children can enjoy the play wading pool that is also set to 27.0 degrees. This pool is only open during the warmer months of October to May. Children and their families can enjoy the exciting features of this pool between 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on weekdays and 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on weekends.

To maximise the enjoyment of their swimmers the Lawnton Aquatic Centre has free complimentary electric barbecues and can cater for birthday parties. Guests will be pleased to know that the Lawnton Aquatic Centre has an onsite café to refuel their nutritional needs. This café is perfect for parents who wish to enjoy a cup of coffee while they watch their children swim. The café offers a great range of food options including; hot and cold drinks, confectionery, crisps, meat pies, sausage rolls and “the best hot chips in Brisbane.”
This north Brisbane swimming centre ensures that all people in the community can enjoy their facilities. Both of the 50-metre and 25-metre pools have mechanical chairs that lower into the swimming pools. The aquatic centre has a large bathroom with wheelchair access in addition to two disabled car parks that are accessible by ramp.
