The Pumicestone Passage estuary forms part of the Moreton Bay Marine Park, an integral Australian east coast aquatic habitat home to a bird watchers paradise of over 350 bird species, as well as a haven for diverse marine life including dugongs, turtles, dolphins and many other species. Our experienced Skipper will navigate the Pumicestone Passage with a running commentary enlightening guests of the historical qualities and fun facts about the area.
Get your evening started by casting off with the Ferryman, located at Pacific Harbour Marina on Bribie Island. This 2-hour sunset cruise will have you basking in the last glorious hues of sunlight, sipping on a glass of wine. Watch on as the sun dips out of view behind the Glass House Mountains bringing on nightfall entertained by commentary courtesy of your skipper.
As the night sets in you’ll be treated to a romantic evening filled with delicious nibbles and beverages available from the licensed bar on board while you cruise leisurely across the channel’s tranquil waters. You can get an even better view of Pumicestone Passage and the night sky by climbing up the ladder onto the open top deck to take a seat beneath the stars.
Ladies, remember to bring a warm cardigan or shawl with you as the temperatures can drop on the water. Wearing long pants for the evening would not be a bad idea either.
