You’ll find numerous landing spots along Bribie’s western coastline including Gallagher Point Camping Area, Poverty Creek, and Mission Point – perfect for accessing the heart of Bribie Island National Park, or shallower shore swimming for little ones.

Boat Hire Options

Bribie Island Boat Charters offer BBQ boats and fishing boats for hire. The BBQ boats and fishing Boats are clean, safe and comfortable, with cushioned seats and shade canopies.

BBQ Boats

Choose between an 8 seater, or 12 seater self-drive BBQ boats for un-licenced boaters. All come equipped with lifejackets, a toilet, sink and bench area, drinking water, and a gas barbeque and easy access for wheelchairs and prams.

All gas and fuel are included in the price of our BBQ Boat hire.

  • 12 Seater BBQ Boat:

From $400 full day (7am to 5pm), $270 half day (7am to 12pm, or 12pm to 5pm $260). Evening hire also available.

  • 8 Seater BBQ Boat:

From $300 full day (7am to 5pm). $200 half day (7am to 12pm, or 12pm to 5pm $260).

Fishing Boat

Choose between a 4 seater, or 6 seater, or 5 seater 60HP.

  • 4 or 6 Person Fishing Boat:

From $150 full day (7am to 5pm). $100 half day (7am to 12pm, or 12pm to 5pm). $150 evening hire, boat license required (5pm to 10pm). Hourly rates start at $50 for first hour, $20 every hour after.

  • 60HP Fishing Boat (available for hire by licenced boaters only):

From $250 full day (7am to 5pm). $150 half day (7am to 12pm, or 12pm to 5pm). License required.

Pumicestone Passage Foreshore

Located along Pumicestone Passage foreshore are a number of BBQs, picnic tables and playgrounds perfect for kicking-back, or enjoying a romantic sunset.

Bongaree Beach

Feel the soft sand between your toes at Bongaree Beach and surrounding

passage beaches. This beach is a popular spot for families with young

children as the waters are often very calm and shallow.

Bongaree Jetty

Located along the beach, Bongaree Jetty is a popular spot to cast a line in, or bomb dive into the passage waters.

Bribie Island National Park

Covering a significant portion of the island is the Bribie Island National Park, a beautiful forested area perfect for exploring both from Pumicestone Passage, inland and on the beach side. The park is only suitable for 4WD vehicles. If you do intend to drive on the beach, ensure you have purchased the correct permits before starting your journey.
