Don't you just love fireworks? New Year's Eve isn't quite the same without a good fireworks show. We've put together a list of the best fireworks displays in the Moreton Bay Region. There are even some earlier shows so the kids don't have to miss out!
From 12 noon Bribie Island and District Community Appeal will be hosting markets in the park at Brennan Park, Bongaree. Then from 8.30pm Moreton Bay Regional Council will present a stunning fireworks display. Please note this is a family event so please no glass items or alcohol.
Just over from Bribie Island on the mainland, visitors will be treated to a New Year's Eve party for the whole family. Sandstone Point Hotel will be hosting food stalls, stacks of entertainment, kids rides, and much more.
For those people near Woody Point, The Belvedere Hotel has helped organise the Foreshore Fireworks - Bridge to Belvedere. The aim for this community initiative is to treat people to a spectacular fireworks display that can be viewed from numerous vantage points all the way from the Ted Smout Bridge to the Woody Point Jetty. Be sure to witness this display if you get the chance.
Enjoy not one but TWO fireworks shows at Pilpel by the Sea. Bring the kids along for an afternoon of family fun before an amazing 20 minute fireworks show at 7.30pm. Guest can also dance the night away at Pilpel's "Arabian Nights" themed NYE party and enjoy a second midnight fireworks display perfectly positioned from the Pilpel balcony.
For something a little different but no less spectacular head to Woodford Folk Festival for a New Year's you won't soon forget. Aside from the wealth of tremendous music and entertainment, visitors will be amazed with fire shows, street performers, and so much more. And don’t miss the Hogmanay event at the Amphi & Hilltop stage for the countdown to 2017.
