From petting zoos to soundproof playgrounds, we are truly lucky to have such wonderful family-friendly restaurants in the Moreton Bay Region. The array of restaurants in the region means never running out new, fresh, and locally-sourced dishes to try. Not only great for foodies, but the following restaurants are also well-equipped and prepared to keep your little ones entertained.
With a menu dictated by the season, you’ll always be able to try a new dish with the family at Sandstone Point Hotel. Bring the kids along to wear out some energy in the massive outdoor playground, make friends with animals in the petting zoo, or run around and play a sport on the grassed area.
When it comes time to eat, you can dine on the terraced alfresco area, inside the bistro, or outside where you can overlook Pumicestone Passage. Be sure to check out the Oyster Shed located right on the water where you can pick up fish and chips for the family. A kid’s menu is available inside at the restaurant.
If you’re heading to Eatons Hill Hotel for lunch, an event, or even staying at the accommodation facilities, bring the kids along to try out the newest addition – the kid’s room with a giant indoor playground! From slides, climbing nets, video games and even a kid’s theatre. The little ones will think they’re being spoiled rotten - it may even be a task to pull them away in the end. Additional children's entertainment is available on Monday nights. The restaurant provides a kids menu.
Boasting four dining areas including a sports lounge and vibrant outdoor seating area, the Norths Leagues and Services Club located on Anzac Avenue, Kallangur also has a ‘Kids Kingdom’. Conveniently situated within the Char Restaurant, Kids Kingdom boasts a large playground, PlayStation, Xbox and Kinect, toys, glow in the dark carpet and other games. The room is soundproof and enclosed by glass to allow parents a clear vision of their children.
Occasionally, you may even be able to catch an art and craft workshop or movie. The restaurant also supplies a kid’s menu.
With an all-you-can-eat salad bar, unlimited desserts refills and of course, cheesy toast, it’s hard to say no to a family lunch or dinner at Caboolture Sizzler. For the kids, you can opt for an all-you-can-eat salad bar or purchase a meal that includes a salad bar for a little over $10. Meals include nuggets, a cheeseburger, shrimp or a juicy rump steak. Kids can also choose from a range of self-serve soft drinks or a fruit flavoured Pop-Top Juice.
As the home of celebrations, The Belvedere Hotel, Woody Point, is adequately prepared for all occasions and guests. With a breakfast, lunch and dinner menu you can find little bites specifically for the kids, not to mention the incredible playground out on the alfresco deck dining area! Across the way from the beach, you can spend your day out and about with family before stopping by The Bel for some mouth-watering dishes that look almost too good to eat!
Cross the road and visit Crockatt Park decked out with a seesaw, swings and even a flying fox!
While you sit back and relax, catching up with friends or family, your kids will remain occupied for hours on end at Beachmere Hotel’s kid’s playground and indoor kid’s room. Stocking fresh and seasonal produce, your taste buds will be more than satisfied with the diverse menu options and daily dining specials – even the kids won’t complain about their menu!
In the warmer months, we recommend sitting out on the alfresco dining area for a cool, coastal breeze, and moving to the inviting atmosphere of the indoor tables for winter.
With an extensive kid’s menu in both the bistro and formal dining areas of Redcliffe RSL, there will always be an option for the fussy ones. To keep them busy while you have adult chats with your friends or family, your youngsters can explore the Redcliffe RSL Museum or enjoy the free live entertainment. Redcliffe RSL is also consistently hosting a range of special events that you could bring your children along to.
