So pack the car, call your mates and get ready for your summer adventure.

#17. Bribie Island Community Arts Centre

Get crafty at Bribie Island Community Arts Centre and join in one of the weekly pottery classes. Pick up a new skill at one of the regular workshops focusing on everything from calligraphy to macramé.

#18. D'Aguilar National Park

Pack up your car and explore the Mount Mee section of D’Aguilar National Park.

D’Aguilar National Park is a truly stunning region just north of Brisbane, with beautiful subtropical rainforests, eucalypt woodlands, and scribbly gum forests. The park’s picnic areas and walking tracks are between make a great day trip.

#19. Cast a Line

Throw in a line at one of the many fishing spots around the region or hire a boat from Boating Planet Redcliffe.

#20. Antique Shopping

Go antique hunting in Samford, Dayboro or Woodford and give a preloved treasure a new home.

#21. Lake Kurwongbah

Rise early to chase the morning sun and enjoy a day break paddle on Lake Kurwongbah.

Sunday to Wednesday is open for public paddle craft use, such as kayaks and canoes. Paddling around Lake Kurwongbah is a great way to spend a day or take in some exercise in the early morning before work. Approximately 3.2 square kilometers in size, the lake offers a great diversity of local attractions, from the picturesque landscape, to bird watching and of course fishing

#22. Bribie Surf School

Hang ten with Bribie Surf School and hone your skills on a private surfing lesson or group class. Surf's up!

#23. Jetty Track

Dust off your rollerblades or sneakers and head out along the coastal footpath from Redcliffe Jetty to Woody Point Jetty.

#24. Local Museums

Get curious and visit your local museum. The littlies will love stepping back in time at the Abbey Museum or Art and Archaeology.

At the Abbey Museum, learn how ancient people lived, from lords and ladies to clergy and peasants. See artifacts which were part of people's everyday lives long ago, and astounding objects of rare beauty. Learn about medical technologies, politics and what people thought about education and religion. The Abbey Museum offers a truly educational and fascinating journey into the past.

#25. Bellthorpe National Park

Make tracks and explore Bellthorpe National Park by 4WD.

Only a short drive west of Woodford, Bellthorpe National Park boasts the best 4WD tracks Brisbane surrounds in Moreton Bay Region. Bellthorpe National Park is located at the southern end of the Conondale Range, west of the Glass House Mountains and just 90 minutes from the Brisbane CBD.

Remnants of the park’s logging industry can still be seen at the Old Brandson’s Sawmill site on Bellthorpe West Road. It's a great place for a day trip out in nature.

#26. Sundowners

Enjoy one last Sunday session at your local watering hole before the school holidays end or get your friends together and join Mountain Wine Tours on a local winery or brewery tour.

#27. Fly a Kite

Head down to your local park to practice your kite flying. Our top picks are Pelican Park in Clontarf and Pine Rivers Park in Strathpine due to their wide open grassy spaces.

#28. Farmers Market

Pick up fresh produce at Millen Farm Real Farmers Markets in Samford every Wednesday, or make a pit-stop at a roadside stall during your country drive.

#29. Moreton Bay Cycleway

Cruise your way along the Moreton Bay Cycleway. The Redcliffe Peninsula comes up trumps for having the best foreshore north Brisbane bike paths with The Moreton Bay Cycleway. The journey can be done without interruption or include stops for photos, coffee and lunch.

Once you've completed the Moreton Bay Cycleway, the Redcliffe Peninsula has another biking challenge with the Kippa-Ring to Petrie shared pathway. The 12.6km pathway stretches from Petrie Station to Kippa-Ring Station. Measuring 3m wide, it allows plenty of space for all types of users.

#30. Enjoy a Sunset

Find your happy place and enjoy a spectacular sunset by the water’s edge or from the water on board a Sunset Cruise courtesy of Ferryman Cruises.

#31. Australia Day

Celebrate all things Aussie at one of the free Australia Day events at Redcliffe and Bribie Island.

Join in the Redcliffe Australia Day celebrations at the gorgeous Suttons Beach for an easy-going, Aussie time. Australia Day in Redcliffe is free to attend and one the whole family can enjoy, with live entertainment, beach activities and a fireworks finale.

Head to the gorgeous Brennan Park, Bribie Island for family fun Bribie Island Australia Day celebrations. There will be live entertainment, beach and garden activities, a Lamington eating contest and a fantastic fireworks finale for the whole family to enjoy.
